Small Group Studies

A variety of small group studies on a wide range of topics is available during the week at ELBC. Taking the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19 to "make disciples of all nations and teach them" recognizes that discipleship of believers best takes place in Bible study classes in small groups.  The following information on our small groups is divided by age, interests, and day of the week.

Adults

Sunday

Bible Study provides guidance in applying God's Word to daily living so that you may grow as a disciple and experience your full potential in Christ.  Our classes are organized by age or similar life interests.  These small group classes begin at 9:00 A.M.

Discipleship Training - These late afternoon early evening special interest studies for men and women are designed to enhance your personal growth as a disciple of Christ.  ELBC offers adults several classes to choose from that average ten weeks in length.  There is a Fall semester that usually begins in August and a Spring semester that begins in late January or early February.

Tuesday

This small group study on Tuesday mornings is primarily for stay at home moms who are raising preschool age children. A fall and spring semester of classes relating to life issues of motherhood are taught.

Wednesday

This semester small group study for women of all ages meets on Wednesday mornings.  The equipping, transforming power of God's Word is taught and discussed so that the participants will personally learn and experience Truth.

MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers-  MOPS is for all mothers with children from birth through kindergarten.  Children activities are provided during the meetings.

Preschool and Children's Ministry

Sunday

Bible Study classes are offered for children birth through sixth grade.  Dedicated teachers provide a loving and caring environment so that each child has the opportunity to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Understanding biblical truth and enriching the spiritual growth of children will also strengthen their families.  These classes are organized by age and school grade and begin at 9:00 A.M.

Preschool/Children Choirs and Bible Buddies/Bible Drill - Our choirs provide children a way to express their love and devotion to Christ through music.  Bible Buddies (1st - 3rd grades) and Bible Drill (4th - 6th grades) give children instruction on Bible skills, such as verse memorization and locating books of the Bible.  The time and duration of our choirs and Bible Buddies and Drill corresponds with the Adult Discipleship Training.

Wednesday

ELBC offers several groups devoted to educating children about missions, praying for missionaries, and be actively involved in local missions in our church and community.  Missions Friends (boys and girls 3yrs - Kindergarten), Girls in Action (girls in 1st - 6th grade), and Royal Ambassadors (boys in 1st - 6th grade) meet during the school year at 6:30 P.M.  During the summer, the children are involved in  recreation with a spiritual purpose.

*Also during the summer, Vacation Bible School (3yrs old - 6th grade) and Preteen Camp (4th - 6th grade), each a week long, provide children Bible study and fun activities.

Church Library

The Library at ELBC provides scripturally sound reading material in order to edify the readers.  We have available helps for the Bible scholar as well as helps for Christian living.  There is a good selection of adult, teenage and children's fiction plus videos and CD's.
